Q: Why the capacity displayed on your computer does not match the description?

A: As part of the listed capacity is used in format, not data storage, actual available storage capacity may be less than the specified total storage capacity.

Actual Capacity Calculation: Total Storage Capacity x 0.93

Example – 256GB SSD:

Factory Capacity: 256 x 1000 x 1000 x 1000 = 256,000,000,000B = 256GB

Actual Capacity: 256,000,000,000B/1024/1024 = 256GB x 0.93 = 238GB

Q: Why the speed doesn’t match the description?

A: You can check the slots on the device and motherboard. When connected to the PCle 3.0 interface, the speed will decrease You need to connect PCle 4.0 port. Additionally, external hard drive enclosures will reduce the speed of hard drives. The transfer rate depends on the hardware/software requirements, so please use it as a basic reference.

Q: Why does the SSD recognize?

A: 1) The first reason maybe the SSD is not inserted correctly into the slot of the M.2 SATA interface.

2) The second reason may not have a partition format. The newly purchased SSD is empty and needs to be formatted for disk management before use. Default format includes finding volume and partitioning in disk management. Once the formatting process is performed, the computer will recognize it and be able to use. We recommend formatting the Windows operating system and using NTFS format.

Q: Is the temperature very high?

A: High speed means high temperature, this is a normal phenomenon. Graphene sticker cools effectively and ensures stable performance.

Q: Does this SSD support work with PS5?

A: FN955 PCIe4.0 SSD works with PS5. However, it is recommended to install the heatsink on the SSD of the PS5 body. It also features a cooling heatsink and you can choose between FN960 SSD and FN970 SSD speeds of 5,000 MB/s or 7,350 MB/s which are perfect for your PS5 console.
